Spent the night before in Bertha bay after hitching a ride into waterton after I crossed the border.As I mentioned earlier, I met two nice girls and a dog. “Martha”  was blonde with a nose ring and “Anna” was a brunette with a lip ring and a single dread lock. Both had degrees in naturalism from ottawa  Community college. I seriously considered hiking the Great Divide trail with them. Martha was really cute. They liked me. I smoked some weed with them but the next day I didnt see them. I slept in and hiked out to Waterton Village and used wifi and drank coffee. Saw a guy who had just come in over browns pass and decided it was doable. So I hiked down and crossed the border. Didn’t think to stop at the border I thought it was for Canadians to check in and not Americans returnig to the US. So I hiked on and spent the night on a lake in Glacier where a snow shoe hare licked the dirt where I had  peed. He even scared away a smaller hare who wanted some pee too! He was like ” I am the Alpha male hare, I get all the pee!”
